The Body Shop Tea Tree 3-in-1 Wash | Skincare Review 2020

The Body Shop Tea Tree 3-in-1 Wash | Skincare Review 2020

I started using The Body Shop products almost 8 years ago and I still like a lot of the products from the brand. It is one of my starting skincare and body care brands. I normally don’t use tea tree because luckily I don’t get a lot of acne. But my skin gets congested sometimes around the chin and jawline, so I keep myself ready if that happens.

When it comes to Tea Tree I always prefer using the one from The Body Shop. Because I have dry skin and a lot of tea tree products dries it even more. However, this 3 in 1 wash from the Body Shop is creamy and gentle enough and it doesn’t over dry the skin.

About The Body Shop Tea Tree 3-in-1 Wash Scrub Mask :-

This 3 in 1 wash scrub mask from The Body Shop has a creamy texture. It contains micro granules in it for gentle exfoliation.
Here’s the Product Claims from the Body Shop website:-

It helps battle blemishes and excess oil in three different ways. Use it as a face wash to help shift dirt, grime and excess oil. It foams up instantly for a refreshing cleanse. Or use it as a scrub to gently buff away nasties hiding out in your skin for that deep clean feeling. Finally, use it as a tea tree face mask to leave your skin feeling purified and more mattified.

The Full Ingredients list is as follows :-

Aqua/Water/Eau, Kaolin, Glycerin, Propanediol, Magnesium Aluminum Silicate, Perlite, Xanthan Gum, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Decyl Glucoside, PEG-7 Glyceryl Cocoate, Alcohol Denat., Phenoxyethanol, Hydrogenated Jojoba Wax, Melaleuca Alternifolia Leaf Oil/Tea Tree Leaf Oil, Sodium Chloride, Citric Acid, Salicylic Acid, Calophyllum Inophyllum Seed Oil, Menthol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Trisodium Ethylenediamine Disuccinate, Sodium Benzoate, Tetrasodium Pyrophosphate, Leptospermum Petersonii Oil, Citral, Phosphoric Acid, Tocopherol, CI 77891/Titanium Dioxide, CI 77499/Iron Oxides.

About the Ingredients and texture of the Wash :-

It’s a Kaolin clay based wash and mask to mattify the skin. The Kaolin clay helps absorb any excess sebum or oil. The wash contains tea tree oil to purify the blemished skin. It also helps to soothe any inflammation and helps the acne to heal faster.
The micro granules in the wash is Perlite, which is a volcanic mineral obtained from a volcanic region. Perlite helps remove impurities by gently exfoliating the skin. It also helps in clearing up the blackheads and opening up the clogged pores. This wash also contains Salicylic Acid to help with the acne.

Menthol and Limonene gives the wash the cool and refreshing feeling.

How to Use the 3-in-1 Wash Scrub Mask :-

If you’re using it as a wash or as a scrub – Apply to wet face like a cleanser. Massage gently for a minute. Rinse it off with normal temperature water.

If you’re using it as a mask – Apply a thin layer on the face avoiding the eye area. Leave it on for 5 minutes. Rinse off with lukewarm water.

Feels really cold when used as a mask. I didn’t like the feeling of putting a cleanser as a mask. Psychological maybe but I buy it as an exfoliating cleanser and I use it like that only.

Consistency is thick creamy and you can feel the perlite granules.

My experience with The Body Shop the 3-in-1 Wash Scrub Mask đź’•:-

Earlier 2 years ago I used to use this cleanser once every day. But ever since I started chemical exfoliation I have decreased the frequency to 1-2 times a week. Although, I go with chemical exfoliation by using AHAs and BHAs in my routine. Once every week I like the feeling of a gentle physical exfoliation as well.
The Body Shop Tea Tree 3-in-1 Wash Scrub Mask is still one of my favorite cleansers. It has never broke me out, I never get irritation or any issues with it. I have been using it for years and I will keep on rebuying it.❤

Where to buy the Tea Tree 3-in-1 Wash Scrub Mask :-

I always buy it from The Body Shop store. You can buy it from the Body Shop, Ulta Beauty or Amazon.

Overall Conclusion :-

Overall it is a really good wash and scrub. It helps with the blackheads and pores by controlling the oil on the skin. It gently exfoliates without drying the skin. Suitable for all skin types. Comes in a travel friendly tube with flip open top cap. Consistency is thick creamy and you can feel the perlite granules. Although, it is gentle enough to be used as a daily cleanser, I would still recommend to use it 1-2 times a week. It has a nice tea tree scent to it. The scent it very mild and refreshing and not at all overpowering.
